Today, August 9, is International Day of Indigenous People, which is celebrated around the world. As we recognize this day, we are so thankful for what the Lord is doing through JMI. Along the banks of the mighty Amazon River are villages of people that feel forgotten and unseen. Many have deep spiritual, physical, and emotional needs that are unmet.
Our mission is to educate, equip, encourage and care for the Amazon people. As our reach grows, so do the needs we are encountering, and we are currently in need of a bigger, more efficient boat to reach the furthest points of the Amazon.
Watch the video below for a special message from Sarah Rodrigues, our National Director in the Amazon.
Will you join us and make a difference in the lives of these precious men, women and children, who live in some of the most remote places?
We have an immediate need to raise $400,000 for the new boat, and are excited to tell you that $288,095 has been generously given by so many wonderful partners! This is an investment into the next 20 years of our ministry to the Amazon people, and we invite you to be a part of it! Click here for further information.
Thank you for making justice personal for the poor, the orphaned, and the forgotten.
